Crafty possibilities

Some summer days we feel like drinking lemonade and not much else, but today it is pleasantly overcast with an occasional drizzle and we are feeling crafty. Yes, there are usually more popular fall and winter crafts (who wants to quilt in 95 degree heat?), but these long days should be taken advantage of. Paint the bright flowers blooming in your front yard. Try that lacy knitting pattern that isn’t as useful when it is snowing. Or paint your mailbox in the bright colors it deserves. Or sew something cute out of all those leftover fabric scraps (everyone likes a patchwork coyote toy).

If you still feel the impending sun and heat, then make yourself some homemade popsicle ice cubes! Cut up all that delicious summer fruit that desperately needs to be eaten, put some in an ice cube tray, and pour some fruit juice over it. Freeze as long as it takes, and then enjoy them in a cold glass of sparkling water, tap water, or more juice! Yumm, gotta go, there are so many crafts to be done.
